Chile Birding Tours

Making up a large proportion of South America’s western edge and stretching over 6000 kilometers along the Pacific coastline, Chile incorporates a vast amount of natural habitat, which is a haven for rare wildlife. Large portions of Patagonia are contained within Chile, and this region holds charismatic mammals such as Puma, Guanaco, and Argentine Gray Fox, and equally charismatic birds, such as Andean Condor, Magellanic Woodpecker, and Torrent Duck. The spectacular scenery of Torres del Paine National Park is probably a big enough drawcard on its own; however, when visiting this park our tours will be concentrating on finding Puma, “the lord of the Andes”, with the services of specialized Puma-trackers to help us on our quest. Our tours in Chile will take you from mountain vistas of the Andes to the Pacific coast and one of the worlds most productive ocean currents, the Humboldt Current.
